Graphic Designer & Multimedia Faculty / Trainer (Teaching Staff)
Job description:
- We are looking for a creative, skilled, and dedicated Graphic Designer & Multimedia Faculty / Trainer to join our academic team. In this role, you will train and mentor students across 2D visual design, print layout, motion graphics, video post-production, and 3D modeling. You will guide learners from foundational visual principles to advanced, hands-on software mastery, helping them construct professional, job-ready portfolios for careers in advertising, digital media, and creative studios.
Key Responsibilities:
- Classroom & Practical Lab Training:
- Deliver structured theory lectures and practical, hands-on lab training sessions daily.
- Teach essential design fundamentals, including color harmony, typography, layout hierarchy, composition, video pacing, and 3D spatial awareness.
- Assign real-world project briefs, daily design exercises, and live case studies.
- Student Mentorship & Portfolio Development:
- Review daily student practicals, assess technical execution, and provide constructive creative feedback.
- Guide each student in developing an industry-standard portfolio/showreel across branding, social media creatives, video edits, motion graphics, and 3D renders.
- Prepare students for creative industry interviews, technical design tests, and agency workflows.
- Academic & Lab Operations:
- Track daily batch schedules, student attendance, syllabus milestones, and internal assessment grades.
- Coordinate with center management on mock exams, creative workshops, and project exhibitions.
- Ensure lab computers, software licenses, and design resource libraries are kept organized and functional.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Plus Two (Higher Secondary), Degree, or Professional Master Certification in Graphic Design, Multimedia, Animation, Visual Communication, or Fine Arts.
- Experience: 1 to 3+ years of experience as a Graphic/Multimedia Trainer or Industry Designer/Video Editor. Passionate candidates with strong freelance or industry portfolios looking to transition into teaching are welcome to apply.
- Portfolio/Showreel: A portfolio showcasing practical graphic design, video editing, motion graphics, and 3D assets is mandatory for interview evaluation.
- Languages: Good communication skills in Malayalam and English.
Technical Skills:
- Graphic & Print Design:
- Adobe Photoshop (photo manipulation, retouching, poster design, digital artwork)
- Adobe Illustrator (vector illustration, logo design, brand identity assets)
- CorelDRAW (vector graphics, signage, packaging, print production prep)
- Adobe InDesign (magazines, brochures, multi-page editorial layouts)
- Video & Motion Graphics:
- Adobe Premiere Pro (timeline editing, audio sync, color grading, multi-cam edits)
- Adobe After Effects (kinetic typography, visual effects, logo animations, compositing)
- 3D Design:
- Blender (3D asset modeling, texturing, lighting, camera setup, rendering)
Soft Skills:
- Teaching & Instruction: Ability to break down complex digital software workflows into simple, digestible steps for beginners.
- Effective Communication: Clear, engaging presentation style to maintain classroom attention and explain creative briefs clearly.
- Patience & Problem-Solving: Approachable attitude during lab hours to help students troubleshoot software bugs, render issues, or creative blocks.
- Organization: Disciplined approach to keeping track of syllabus completion and grading deadlines.
Pay:
- You can expect a minimum salary of ₹ 15,000 ₹ and can go up to ₹ 18,000 ₹. The salary offered will depend on your skills, experience and performance in the interview.
